Load Up and Let’s Ride!

Hello dear readers, it’s just about that time again – time when we proudly announce another Kickstarter campaign for a great release from Dice Hate Me Games. You’ve been there for the thrill of Carnival and the quirk of VivaJava, so now it’s time to load up and hit the open road with The Great Heartland Hauling Co.!

That’s right, The Great Heartland Hauling Co. is our love letter to the highways and byways of this great nation, and to all the men and women who keep on trucking to keep the country rolling. This game is an absolute breeze to play and teach, plus it comes in the same size box as Carnival, so it’s easy to take on the road!

For those that are new to The Great Heartland Hauling Co., it’s not too difficult to describe: Players take on the role of medium haul Midwest truck drivers doing their best to make a living by hauling goods for big suppliers. Players truck to various locations around America’s Heartland, picking up and dropping off goods using matching cards from their hands. All locations have native goods that require fewer cards to load; other locations may pay a premium for those goods but may also require more fuel – and time – to get there with the cargo. With limited space in each trailer and only five cards in hand at a time, players will have to expertly manage their resources, as well as play the odds and press their luck to be the best trucker on the road.

For more information on The Great Heartland Hauling Co., check out the official Kickstarter page, the games page on Dice Hate Me Games, or have a listen to Episode 33 of The State of Games.

I truly appreciate all of you reading Dice Hate Me – and regardless of whether you choose to back The Great Heartland Hauling Co., you can always expect that Dice Hate Me will continue to bring you quality gaming news, reviews and previews just like from the very beginning. Thanks, as always, and keep on trucking!
