The State of Games, Episode 74 – The One About Salt and Sea
“Whenever I find myself growing grim about the mouth; whenever it is a damp, drizzly November in my soul; whenever I find myself involuntarily pausing before coffin warehouses, and bringing up the rear of every funeral I meet; and especially whenever my hypos get such an upper hand of me, that it requires a strong moral principle to prevent me from deliberately stepping into the street, and methodically knocking people’s hats off – then, I account it high time to get to sea as soon as I can.” – Herman Melville, Moby Dick

Hello from sunny South Africa!
Thanks for a great podcast. You guys had me laughing quietly to myself at my desk for most of the day today…
I have to say that my experience of Keyflower is that it’s a 90 min game, even with four players. I really didn’t find that winter took too long. We really found it to be a short game (compared to the longer heavier Euros that we’re used to).
We haven’t got it to the table recently, but that’s a whole other discussion…
Thanks much!
