The State of Games Ep. 172: The One About One Quiet Night
We are truly living in strange times, and, as such, we thought it was time to take a moment to reflect on how things have changed and what we’ve all been through in the past couple of months. Among the three of us, no one has been through more than our own Darrell Louder, whose family has been living in a COVID-positive household, resulting in him, his mother-in-law, and his son dealing directly with the virus. Yes, it’s a heavier episode, but we do take some time for levity and talk about how we can all deal with our self isolation with some quality gaming, proving that when times get tough we can always count on games to help keep... The State of Games, Ep. 163 – The One About Telling Stories
Sometimes we play games that have a certain synergy that set our podcasting minds in motion. Recently that was Arkham Horror and Modern Art. As much as 2016 was a mixed bag of quality in the industry, it still turned out to be a tough task for all of us to narrow down what we like the best. Listen up, and please let us know what were your favorites of 2016! Read More Read More
Games That Go Bump in the Night
It’s no secret – we love spooky games at Dice Hate Me. There’s just something rich and engaging about a dark setting done well. We don’t play scary games as often as those with other themes, but when we do, we like to do it right – and we like to share our experiences. And, so, in the spirit of this most bewitched month, here’s a look back at some of those spooky games we’ve played and shared – and a fresh look at a new addition to the library! If I’m Going Down In the boardgaming world of late, and much like the shambling undead upon which they are based, zombie games just keep coming, wave... Read More
